Privacy notice
Last updated 31 July 2026
This notice explains what personal data Hot Dough collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It covers the reopening email list only — a fuller notice will cover online ordering and the Hot Dough Club when we reopen.
Who we are
Hot Dough, 250 High Street, Waltham Cross EN8 7DZ. Telephone 01992 747997. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at theobalds@hot-dough.com.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, if you enter it | To tell you when we reopen, and about our new app | Consent — you chose to give it, and can withdraw at any time |
That is all we ask for. We do not collect your name, phone number or address on this page, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until we have told you we have reopened, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first — and then delete it. If you unsubscribe, we remove you immediately.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Supabase — hosts our database. Data is stored in London (UK).
- Vercel — serves this website.
- Resend — sends the reopening email.
We never sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. Some providers are based outside the UK; where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards in their standard contractual terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw your consent at any time — this is as easy as giving it, and does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Email theobalds@hot-dough.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This page and our holding page set no cookies. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them; Google may log the request, including your IP address, to deliver the font.
Changes. If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects you, we will tell you directly.
